Bremerton native and Olympic gold medalist Nathan Adrian joined the Kitsap Athletic Roundtable on July 9, 2020 for its first virtual meeting. Adrian discussed the postponement of the Summer 2020 Games, his comeback from testicular cancer and training during a pandemic. Nathan Adrian, a 2006 graduate of Bremerton High School, is one of the world’s great swimming sprinters. He’s a three-time Olympian (2008, 2012 and 2016) and eight-time Olympic medalist, including earning an incredible five gold medals.
The son of Jim and Cecilia Adrian, Nathan, now 31, began swimming competitively at age 5. And he had some great competition in his family, as his siblings Donella and Justin also had stellar careers, competing at Arizona State and Washington, respectively. Justin, in fact, is a 2017 member of the Kitsap Sports Hall of Fame.
